Tours

CCPD offers free tours of the main police station located at 321 John Sartain in Corpus Christi. The tour includes access to the property room, Central Records, Uniform Division, and Criminal Investigations Division. For further assistance, please contact the Crime Prevention Division at (361) 886-2765.

Police Ridealongs

The Corpus Christi Police Department Ridealong Program is offered to residents, students and those employed within the City. Every attempt will be made to accommodate interested persons. The following factors must be met to be eligible for a the Ridealong:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • If under 18 years of age, participants must be Active members of Police Explorer Post #133
  • No prior criminal history
  • No pending criminal case


Ridealongs are scheduled a week in advance for evening shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Qualified individuals who would like to participate in the Ridealong program may sign-up at the main Police Station, 321 John Sartain Street on weekdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or call (361) 886-2685 for additional information.

Perspective Ridealongs must sign a waiver of liability form, pass a criminal background check, and watch a short informational video before being approved to ride along. An individual approved to ride along is required to be suitably dressed in a collared shirt, blouse, or jacket, slacks, and shoes. Sandals, T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and ripped or torn blue jeans are not permitted. Hats and ball caps will not be worn.

The Corpus Christi Police Department provides parents and children with practical information to prevent child abduction and exploitation. The importance of dialing 911, dangers of texting, and bullying are some of the topics included in this presentation.
