The mission of the Grant Monitoring Department is to strengthen neighborhoods in Corpus Christi. Housing & Rehabilitation Programs provide "One-Stop Housing Services" for low-income households through several federally-funded and locally-funded housing programs. Housing programs assist both existing homeowners and interested home buyers. Community Development programs enhance the quality of life for low-income citizens.

Director of the Grant Monitoring Department

Rudy Bentancourt has been with the Grant Monitoring Department (previously Housing and Community Development) Department since December 2003. His prior positions in the department have included Management Assistant, Program Manager, and Community Development Administrator. He was named Director of the Grant Monitoring Department in February 2016.  He is a life-long resident of Corpus Christi.

Rudy is a graduate of Foy H. Moody High School. After graduation, he went on to receive his associate of arts degree in psychology from Del Mar College in 2000. He then went on to get his bachelor of arts in psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2002 and his master’s degree in public administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2006. Rudy is also a Certified Public Manager.
