TxDOT to Enter Final Phase of JFK Bridge Project
Beginning Thursday, December 1
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to start Phase 3 of a $9 million maintenance project on the JFK causeway bridge on Park Road 22 designed to maximize the bridge's life and reduce the overall life-cycle costs of the bridge. The work maintenance on the bridge, which spans the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, not the entire causeway, will start on December 1.

The City of Corpus Christi adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.69 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.87.
