PROJECT FACTS

Project Construction Management: Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)

Contractor: Gibson & Associates, Inc.

Total Cost: $8.7 million

PROJECT SCOPE

  • Repairing various concretes spalls and damages associated with the bridge.
  • Repairing various superstructure components such as bearing pads, bridge joints, etc.
  • Improvements to the .62 miles of concrete deck overlay.
  • The project duration is about 19 months.

PROJECT IMPACTS

Phase 1

  • The Eastbound and Westbound main lanes of traffic will be shifted to the outside lanes.
  • The two inside lanes will be closed for work. 
  • Some temporary nighttime mainlane closures will occur from from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
    • These closures will only occur in 30 minute increments. 
    • Emergency Response vehicles will have immediate access to pass. 

Phase 2

  • The Eastbound and Westbound main lanes of traffic will be shifted to the south side of the bridge.
  • The two lanes on the north side of the bridge will be closed for work.
  • Some temporary nighttime mainlane closures will occur from from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
    • These closures will only occur in 30 minutes increments. 
    • Emergency Response vehicles will have immediate access to pass. 

Phase 3

  • The Eastbound and Westbound main lanes of traffic will be shifted to the north side of the bridge.
  • The two lanes on the south side of the bridge will be closed for work.
  • Some temporary nighttime mainlane closures will occur from from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
    • These closures will only occur in 30 minutes increments. 
    • Emergency Response vehicles will have immediate access to pass.
