Most City of Corpus Christi offices, including City Hall and Municipal Court, will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, the larger-than-life fireworks show will be set off from a barge located in the Corpus Christi Bay just north of People’s Street T-Head.

The City of Corpus Christi adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.69 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.87.

Stage 2 Water Restrictions are in effect
