Adoption of Record-Setting $1.4 Billion FY 2023 Budget

City Manager Peter Zanoni would like to invite citizens to review the City of Corpus Christi's Proposed Budget Plan. The Fiscal Year 2023 proposed budget totals $1.4 billion and is scheduled to be adopted by the mayor and city council on September 6, 2022. The FY 2023 budget would take effect on October 1, 2022.
The budget addresses the mayor and city council's community priorities and focuses on basic city services. It provides substantial investment in public safety, streets, parks, and water and wastewater. Citizens will have the opportunity to attend Community Input Sessions for the Proposed 2022-2023 Budget beginning Monday, August 8, 2022 at 6 p.m.

The City of Corpus Christi adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.69 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $16.87.
