The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of sports programs, classes, camps, leagues, and tournaments for youth and adults. Leagues are run at City ballparks and other facilities throughout the city. We operate two public gyms and three sports fields. They are available for event rentals, leagues, practice, and more.

Fall 2021 High School Varsity Basketball League - Fact Sheet

Eligible:
Girls Varsity Division (Monday & Saturday evening games)
Boys Varsity Division (Tuesday & Saturday evening games)

Team Online Registration: Now through September 19, 2021* (register here)
Team Late Online Registration: September 20–26, 2021* (register here)
Fees: $250/team (limit of 12 players per team)
Late Fee: $275/team (limit of 12 players per team)
Season: Begins week of September 27, 2021 (6-game season)

Rules: High School (U.I.L.) and Parks & Recreation Department rules apply.

Corpus Christi Hosted the Summer 2021 TAAF Games of Texas!

The Games of Texas is the State's annual championship for sports. Athletes and teams that win the State finals are then allowed to advance to the national competition. The Games of Texas brings 10,000 athletes from 17 regions across Texas to compete in the sport of their choice. The City was selected to initially host the Games of Texas in the summers of 2020 and 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were postponed in 2020, and the games were rescheduled for 2021 and 2022. 

ATHLETES are invited to compete in this Olympic-style event featuring 13 sports. VOLUNTEERS are needed to host this spectacular event and serve as ambassadors for our city. LEARN MORE about the TAAF Summer 2021 Games of Texas

We have over 80 basketball courts at parks throughout our city. Go shoot some hoops!
