Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation – COVID-19 Updates
(last updated on 7-31-2020)

The health and safety of our park and beach visitors, as well as customers using our city pools, gyms, and other facilities, is of the highest importance for the Department as we respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19). We are also taking careful measures to safeguard our staff as we serve the community. To provide the safest possible environment for everyone to work in and enjoy, we are implementing the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) and State's recommendations to avoid the transmission of COVID-19, such as maintaining physical distancing, using masks, along with other best personal-protection practices.

  • When maintaining 6 feet of separation is not feasible, other methods should be utilized to slow the spread of COVID-19, such as wearing a face covering or mask, washing or sanitizing hand frequently, and avoiding sharing utensils or other common objects.
