The City of Corpus Christi Municipal Court will hold jury trials Monday through Friday, starting January 10, 2021 through January 14, 2021.

Court Notices

All participants will receive a court notice to appear with the date and time. Instructions will be included with all the notices. Should you have any questions regarding your case contact the court at 361-826-2500. 

As part of the court’s ongoing measures to protect against the spread of the COVID-19 disease, all participants will be required to submit a pre-screening questionnaire, and all participants are required to wear masks.

COVID-19 Guidelines

According to the Office of Court Administration guidelines for Texas courts, the following information explains the precautions that have been taken to protect the health and safety of prospective jurors during jury selection and the jury trial.

Wear a face mask upon entry into the American Bank Center. If you do not have one, a disposable mask will be provided to you.

All participants in a proceeding are required to alert the court if he or she has, or knows of another participant who has: (i) COVID-19 or a fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea; or (ii) recently been in close contact with a person who is confirmed to have COVID-19 or exhibiting the symptoms described above.

COVID related screening protocol will be implemented for all court staff, witnesses, and potential jurors. It is possible that some or all witnesses will appear remotely to minimize exposure. Face masks will be worn and will be available. Gloves and hand sanitizer will also be available. Social distancing will be required. This includes the juror seating arrangements.

If you are over age 65 or have a serious underlying health condition, such as high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, or you have an immune system compromised by chemotherapy for cancer or other conditions requiring such therapy please contact the court by calling 361-826-2500 to discuss alternate accommodations to resolve your case.
