Food Inspections

Health Inspectors will protect public health through EDUCATION and ENFORCEMENT of all regulations pertinent to environmental health.

Conducts inspections of food service, pool services, daycare centers, and foster homes. Teach food handlers classes and address general sanitation complaints.

Corpus Christi Public Health District encourages restaurant owners and staff to ask a restaurant inspector to show their City of Corpus Christi Badge if they are visited by someone for an Inspection. The Health District does not charge for restaurant inspections and Inspectors do not accept money on site.

Food Handlers Course

Food Handler Classes Held Every Monday at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Spanish Classes held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 3 p.m.

Permit Cost $12

Need a class for 10 people or more please contact office for more info.
