Looking for activities to keep your family entertained during Spring Break? The La Retama Library can help combat Spring Break boredom with our rainbow-themed fun and engaging programs for kids, teens, and families.
The Incredible Experiment (RED)
This incredibly super awesome STEAM experiment will leave you wondering “Where….is…my…super…. SUIT?!
“Taste the Rainbow” (ORANGE)

LEGO Brick Build-A-Long (YELLOW)
Watch the LEGO Movie, rated PG, on the big screen as you build with Lego bricks to create your own master builder masterpiece.
Pinch Proof (GREEN)
Are you pinch-proof for St. Patrick’s Day? If not, after attending this program you’ll have enough green to ensure a luck-filled holiday!
Wayfinders Unite! (BLUE)

Take and Create Crafts

Pick up a craft at the circulation desk or through curbside, while supplies last.
 

Little University

This story-time is a lively combination of books, movement activities, and songs best enjoyed by families with their children. Little University may also include supplemental activities such as crafts, storytelling, poetry, riddles, and more.

 

Sensory Friendly Story Time

With your child’s needs at the forefront, this sensory friendly program is an opportunity for parents and children to learn, network, and build lasting relationships in a safe and friendly environment.

 

Sensory Play Café
(Ages 6 - 14)
1ST & 3RD Thursdays of the Month @ 4:30 PM
Relax and unwind with a sensory friendly craft. This program is geared toward sensory sensitive children.

 

Mommy and Me Crafting

1ST Friday of the Month @ 10:30 AM
Children are invited to bring a mother, grandmother, or any significant adult with them as their date for a morning of crafting.

Building Blocks for Tots
(Ages 0 – 5)

A dedicated playtime for babies and toddlers featuring lots of blocks!
