The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee shall advise the City Council as to all City parks and the buildings therein, public outdoor recreation areas and centers, and any other grounds placed under its purview by the City Manager, per City Ordinance Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 2. Sec. 2-72. PRAC is comprised of citizens appointed by City Council.

MEETINGS

PRAC meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm. These meetings are open to the public to attend. Meeting locations, agendas, and minutes will be posted on Legistar. Occasionally a special meeting might be held outside of the typical schedule, and if so it will be announced on Legistar as well.

PUBLIC FEEDBACK OPPORTUNITIES

Citizens can make a public comment at PRAC meetings. To make a public comment, arrive in time to sign in before the meeting begins at 5:30. Each person commenting will have up to 3 minutes to speak.

Sometimes the city conducts public surveys and public meetings related to parks and recreation. Check the Parks and Recreation Home Page for any active feedback opportunities.
