The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department diligently works to obtain funding for improvements and to continue development projects of City parks and facilities. The following funding resources help make it possible: 

Bonds - Voter-approved proposed enhancement projects paid for with local tax dollars.

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) - A flexible grant program that provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Grants - The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department acts as a silent partner in hundreds of communities across the state through its grant, assistance, education, and outreach programs.

Community Enrichment Funds Projects funded through fees paid by developers.

Partnership Funds - These projects include funding through Community Involvement:

  • Park Improvement Grants
  • Matching Grants
  • Friends of the Park (FOP)
  • Junior League of Corpus Christi
  • Corpus Christi Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Neighborhood Associations
