“Beat the Heat” Cooling Centers
Program runs June 15 to September 30, 2018
(CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – June 6, 2018) For the ninth year, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department's Senior Community Services is partnering with Reliant to provide three “Beat the Heat” cooling centers. These facilities provide a free, safe and air-conditioned place for local residents to stay cool which will also help reduce the need for home electricity use during the hottest summer days. The centers will also offer bottled water, light snacks, and entertainment.

Greenwood Senior Center

Oveal Williams Senior Center
