Birth and Death Certificates (Vital Records)

Certified Copies of Birth and Death Certificates are available at the Main Health District Building or by mail.

Diabetes Prevention/Patient Navigator Services

The Diabetes Prevention and Patient Navigator Services assists the public with diabetes self-management education.  Facilitates assistance with a variety of diabetes related issues.

Flu Information

Health officials advise that everyone over six months of age should be vaccinated for the flu. Learn more about the cost and procedure here.

Learn about obesity, diabetes and other serious medical conditions that can impact your quality of life.

Immunizations

Vaccination protects children from serious illness. Immunization services continue to be available to children that are uninsured or that have coverage under Medicaid.

Inspections, Permits and Courses for Food Handlers

Food handlers can learn about food inspections, permits and available courses.        

Laboratory Services

Services provided include environmental bacterial testing on drinking, marine and sea water, as well as clinical testing for sexually transmitted and other infectious diseases.

Nurse-Family Partnership

The Nurse-Family Partnership is a program for women who are having their first baby.

Restaurant Inspection Scores

View restaurant and food establishment inspection scores. Inspections are based on a demerit system, in accordance with the Texas Department of State Health Services.

STD's & HIV-AIDS

The health clinic provides examination, testing, diagnosis, treatment, counseling for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV-AIDS and other related problems.

The Texas Healthy Communities Program empowers Texans to improve their health in the places they live, work and play.

Tuberculosis Control

Tuberculosis control services include skin testing, chest X-ray, medications for Tuberculosis, Latent TB infection and other services, as needed.

The mission of the Texas WIC Program is to give our most vulnerable children the best possible start by providing optimal nutrition during the critical stages of fetal and childhood development.

Annette Rodriguez, M.P.H., Health Director

Annette Rodriguez has served as Health Director for the Corpus Christi Nueces County Public Health District (CCNCPHD) since 2002. Rodriquez previously served as the Assistant Director of Public Health, as well as a Certified Infection Control Practitioner for Christus Spohn Healthcare Systems. Annette received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Public Health.

Annette leads the CCNCPHD in its efforts to prevent disease, promote wellness and protect the public by creating initiatives such as a health vaccination clinic in a local mall to combat the H1N1 virus pandemic in Nueces County. She is currently serving as the secretary/treasurer for the Texas Association of City and County Health Organizations (TACCHO) and has been involved with the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and Mayor’s Fitness Committee. Her personal and professional interests center on family, health, corporate wellness initiatives and funding programs to fight the debilitating diseases of diabetes and obesity.
