Free Educational Programs
The City of Corpus Christi Water Department sponsors a variety of free educational programs that help teachers meet TEKS requirements. Teachers are encouraged to take advantage of these quality programs.
NEW! Raising Your Water IQ: A Water Conservation Curriculum, developed by the Texas Water Development Board. Best suited for Grade level 6th - 8th. Get your copy for free.
"Learning to be Water Wise and Energy Efficient" Teacher guidebooks for this award-winning unit, along with student handbooks, make it easy to use. Students receives their own water saving kit, with a 2.5 gpm showerhead, a kitchen and bathroom aerator, leak detection tablet, flow measuring back, plus more. Learning to be Water Wise and Energy Efficient was developed by the National Energy Foundation.
"The Story of Drinking Water" This unit comes with a teacher's guidebook and colorful student activity booklet that illustrates the water cycle, water treatment, water distribution and water conservation tips. It is perfect for students in grades 3 through 5. The program was developed by the American Water Works Association.

"Major Rivers"
This program was introduced to area schools in 1989 to help fourth grade students learn about Texas' major water resources, how water is treated and delivered to their homes and schools, and how to care for their water resources and use them wisely. Teachers are 100% satisfied.
