Staff inspects docks, moorings, property, and infrastructure approximately 8 times per 24 hours. Marina provides modern clean and serviceable amenities, restrooms/showers, meeting rooms, laundry areas, marine library, satellite TV and Free Wi-Fi throughout the entire area. Marina office staff provides accurate bookkeeping, billing, collections including follow up with trained staff. The Marina Patrol works in conjunction with the TCEQ; TGLO; USCG; TPWD; U.S. Customs; CCPD; Port Police; CCFD; FBI; Texas Clean Marina Program, Marina Association of Texas including other Federal, State, and local entities.

The present Marina Department has been in operation since 1940 when the T-Heads were constructed. Modern improvements including vessel requirements and commercial opportunities have created necessary infrastructure and amenity improvements. Various events year round enhance the marina proximity due to location, such as: Parades, Rallies, Buccaneer Days, July 4th Fireworks, Seafood Sales, Boat Show, Power Boat Races, World Class Sailing Regattas. These events combine to create an extremely busy waterfront area which is within walking distance to Restaurants and Nightlife.
