The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department operates four recreation centers located throughout the city which offer programs for youth ages 6-16. We are dedicated to promoting character development, leadership, education, and healthy living through our many fun and exciting activities and programs.

After School Program - FREE!

This is an open campus afterschool program for youth ages 6-16 which operates in conjunction with the Corpus Christi ISD schedule from September through June each year. Youth have the opportunity to engage in special programs, homework tutorials, arts and crafts, sports, games, and much more at our four recreation centers. It offers general supervision for the children. Space is limited. Registration by all youth is required to attend. After School Snack Program - FREE!

An afternoon snack will be provided daily at all recreation centers. If your child has any dietary restrictions or allergies, please contact the site director. An alternate snack may be provided with a signed letter of authorization from a physician. If the parent provides the snack, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is not responsible for meeting the child's daily nutritional needs. The City is an equal opportunity provider.

Micro-Soccer Co-ed Youth League

This is an 8-week program held in the spring and fall for children ages 4-6 that is specially designed with a modified field and goals. Games are played on Saturdays. All City recreation centers host special events throughout the year, such as dances and holiday celebrations. Events may include movies in the park, community trash cleanups, gardening clubs, cooking demonstrations, and health awareness. The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department offers S.P.A.R.K. (Summer Program and Recreation for Kids) for ages 6-16 from June to July each summer. Recreation activities such as arts and crafts, tournaments, board games, indoor and outdoor play, guest speakers, and other activities are offered at participating recreation centers throughout the summer. This is an open campus recreation program provided in a generally supervised environment for registered participants. Space is limited and all youth must be registered. Participants must be signed in daily by an adult.

► The program is offered at two recreation centers Monday–Friday, from June – July 2022 (closed July 4th holiday). Morning and Afternoon Sessions will be offered. FREE morning and afternoon snacks will be provided daily for youth who participate. Lunch will not be provided. The flyer will provide more details regarding schedule, sites, and sessions. The fee is $25/session/week/child. REGISTRATION: On-site registration is not be offered for this program. Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged. Youth with different interests have the opportunity to participate in camps with a variety of activities. These camps are designed to instill sportsmanship, build coordination, foster friendships, and engage youth in new and exciting experiences. Celebrate your special occasions at our recreation centers. You have several options with four centers located throughout the city. Book your next birthday and graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, family reunions and other special events with us. A rental includes the use of the social hall, game room and kitchen, along with tables and chairs.
