Operation Heat Help 2022-2023
Corpus Christi Gas and Utility Billing Office, with assistance from the Nueces County Department of Social Services is proud to provide Operation Heat Help assistance to those in need.
This annual program was developed to assist the community by covering the gas portion of a customer’s utility bill from November 2022 to February 2023, up to $100 per household, for those that qualify.
Applications will be accepted from December 1, 2022 - March 31, 2023. The program will assist with Natural Gas utility services: November 2022 - February 2023. This assistance is only for the Natural gas portion of your utility bill.
To qualify for help in paying your Natural Gas bill, you must meet the following income guidelines:

In addition to the above income guidelines, the person applying for assistance must be the utility account holder. If you meet these guidelines, you can apply online at www.nuecesco.com/county-services/social-services or visit the Nueces County Department of Social Services, located in the RTA building at 602 N. Staples St. Ste. 180.
When you visit the Department of Social Services please be prepared to provide the following documents:
- Current utility bill.
- Proof of identification for all household members.
- Proof of all household income for the past 30-days including wages, unemployment benefits, child support, TANF, SSI, etc.
Please remember that this assistance is only for the Natural Gas portion of the utility bill. Every year funds are limited, and awards are given to those who qualify on a first come first serve basis.
