Filing a false report is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a fine
 - not to exceed $2,500 prosecutable under sec. 37.08 of the Texas Penal Code.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is now offering online reporting. This easy process allows you to enter reports quickly. Answering a few simple questions will determine whether or not your report can be submitted online. You must be 17 years of age or older to file a report.

  1. Did the incident occur outside the Corpus Christi city limits?
  2. Can you identify the suspect(s)?
  3. Is the damaged or stolen property valued at $1500 or more?
  4. Are you reporting a stolen/lost firearm, stolen vehicle or license plate?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, call 361.886.2600 to submit a report via the Telephone Reporting Unit. If you are reporting a stolen vehicle, an officer will be dispatched to your location.

Please turn off all pop-up blockers before beginning your online report.

You may file a report for any of the following crimes where you were the victim. Once you complete the process, you will know that your report was submitted successfully when you see this statement: “Your online police report has been submitted.” You will then be given a case number and can print an UNOFFICIAL copy of the report for your records while it is being processed.
