The City of Corpus Christi is seeking competitive proposals from private developers for a Sale and Redevelopment Agreement for the Montgomery Ward Building Site at the intersection of Peoples Street and Chaparral Street in downtown Corpus Christi. Built in 1936, the total building area is approximately 21,973 square feet. The site includes the building and adjacent, gated parking lot with 36 spaces.

Planning

The Planning Division develops the City’s Comprehensive Plan called PLAN CC, Area Development Plans, Neighborhood Plans, and assists with Utility & Infrastructure Plans. 

Prosecution in Municipal Court

The City Attorney’s office prosecutes cases in Municipal Court. Prosecutors will only discuss cases at the Municipal Court after defendants have made their initial appearance in their case(s).

Short-Term Rentals (STR)

The City’s Unified Development Code (UDC) allows short-term rentals (STRs) with restrictions in single-family residential districts citywide but not in single-family residential districts within the Padre/Mustang Island Area Development Plan area. Learn more about STRs here.

Show Cause Hearings

A show cause hearing is held when a person who was granted deferred disposition or an interim judgment failed to comply with the Court’s order.

Supplier Portal Information

The City of Corpus Christi uses a supplier portal to make it more efficient for vendors and bidders to do business with the City. By registering through the City of Corpus Christi’s Supplier Portal, you will have access to upcoming RFB/RFP/RFQ events. There is no cost for vendors to register, nor is there a fee assessed if you are awarded a bid.

Warrants

If you have a warrant for your arrest you should appear at Corpus Christi Municipal Court Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm to resolve your case without the fear of being arrested.
