Non-Recylable Items in Bins Is Causing Concern
Non-Recyclable Items Showing Up in Bins Cause Concern
An increase in dangerous non-recyclable items is showing up in city recycle bins. Most concerning is the amount of live ammunition crews are discovering.
For several months, city workers have found a surprising amount of bullets in many of the plastic curbside blue recycle bins. Citizens are also disposing of other dangerous items including knifes and chainsaws. None of these items are recyclable by the city and could injure someone.
Citizens can drop off ammunition at the Police Department’s training office located at 4510 Corona Drive, Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and it will be dispose of properly.
If citizens are unsure what items are recyclable, they should check out the website www.corpuschristirecycles.com for more information.
