Brooks County Judge Raul Ramirez and Corpus Christi Mayor Nelda Martinez Host Jobs Town Hall Meeting & Career Fair
The South Texas region continues to be a leader in economic development and growth in Texas. There is an increasing demand for a skilled workforce. In an effort to spur residents to prepare for the job opportunities, Brooks County Judge Raul Ramirez and Corpus Christi Mayor Nelda Martinez will host a FREE public jobs town hall meeting/career fair on Wednesday, July 30th in Brooks County.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes!

Representatives from Celanese, Brock Jacobs Co., Brooks County Detention Center: LCS and Texas A&M University-Kingsville will be represented on a workforce panel to discuss current and
future job openings in the region as well as job requirements and qualifications.
The program will consist of resources for job seekers in South Texas including various training programs, education curriculum options and financial aid/scholarships. Industry experts have predicted the need for some 65,000 skilled workers in the South Texas region in the next five years. With this knowledge, Mayor Martinez established a Workforce Outreach Task Force to engage the region in addressing current workforce demands as well as growing demands in years to come.
