The 2008 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided funds for the EPA Brownfields Program. The City of Corpus Christi is one of only two locations in Texas to receive stimulus funds, designated for a two-phased site assessment of areas with suspected petroleum or other hazardous substance contamination.
