Personnel Development Division is a newly formed division that now incorporates a number of personnel development functions as well as units that contribute to community quality of life issues. This includes all officers training and conducting inspections of all personnel, policies, facilities and equipment to ensure that the Corpus Christi Police Department is in full compliance with its Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA) requirements. The division is also responsible for recognizing commendable conduct by its employees, coordinating with the city’s Emergency Operations Center to maintain the highest state of preparedness, managing our Volunteers in Police Service Program as well as overseeing the city’s Animal Care and Control operations.
