Members of Police Explorer Post #133 hold themselves and each other to a higher standard. In order to become a member, interested young adults must complete an application available from current Explorers or Crime Prevention / Community Services at CCPD. After submitting their paperwork, applicants will have an oral interview and must pass a thorough background check. Then, in order to continue to wear the Explorer uniform, all Explorers are expected to be role models and examples for the community, maintaining grades and demonstrating behavior that protects the honor and integrity of the post.

OUR BEST TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW!

CORPUS CHRISTI POLICE EXPLORER POST #133

The Corpus Christi Police Explorer Program offers training to young adults ages 14 – 21 who have an interest in the law enforcement profession.

Purpose:

The purpose of this organization is to afford an opportunity for young adults in this community to observe, participate, and learn about law enforcement.  The Explorer program enhances self-confidence, motivation, civic-mindedness, and cultivates strong leadership traits.  These characteristics help Explorers prepare for a career in law enforcement and to become future leaders.

Mission Statement:

The Corpus Christi Police Explorer Program is part of Learning for Life. The mission of learning for life is to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership, and life skills so they can make ethical choices and achieve their full potential.

What are the Benefits?

The Corpus Christi Police Explorer Program Provides the Explorer Cadets with training and knowledge required of various law enforcement procedures and the laws.

The Explorer program will provide excellent references when applying for employment opportunities with law enforcement agencies and Criminal Justice programs.

The ride along program allows the Explorers to ride along and observe officers as they work in the field during a tour of duty. Explorers learn firsthand what it is like to be a law enforcement officer.

Explorers compete at various Police Explorer competitions statewide and nationwide.

Our reputation of pride and excellence in representing our fair city and CCPD at many state and national competitions is well known. Over the years, we have won many National Police Explorer Competition Awards.
