Habitat Improvements to Begin at the Preserve
Grant funds will be used to begin the selective clearing of mesquite trees from 30 acres of the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve in mid-July. This removal will improve the habitat for wildlife such as bobcats, deer, birds and more. The work will begin on July 17, 2019 (weather permitting) and continue for approximately four weeks. ► Read the news release for more details.

'Heart Your Park' Day of Service Projects
A series of volunteer projects sponsored by CITGO, the National Recreation & Park Association, the City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department, and the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve took place at four events over a seven-month period from September 2018 through March 2019. Over 100 volunteers participated in adding new trees, cleaning up parks, and improving our public infrastructure. For more information, contact Sara Jose.

Pollinator Playscape is Open at the Preserve
Come and check out this new play and hands-on educational feature! On July 13, 2018, we officially opened the new Pollinator Playscape! This sensory garden project includes a water feature, pollinator plants, benches, hopscotch, a barefoot path, log hops and more. ► Read the news release for more details.
