Standards of Conduct and Discipline

All employees of CCPD are held to high standards of conduct and discipline in order to preserve an essential relationship of trust and confidence within the community.             

To preserve this relationship of trust, the Department’s integrity is maintained through an internal system whereby consistency, objectivity, fairness, and justice are ensured by an impartial review and investigation of complaints to include Racial Profiling on employees of the Corpus Christi Police Department at the direction and under authority of the Chief of Police.
 
The department has a policy against racial profiling and accepts complaints on it employees for this matter. Racial Profiling is described as a law enforcement related action based on an individual’s race, ethnicity or national origin rather than on the individual’s behavior or on information identifying the individual as having engaged in criminal activity.

 

How to File a Complaint against a CCPD Employee:

The Corpus Christi Police Department investigates all complaints and/or inquiries made against its employees.  A complaint regarding a police department employee can be made Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. by visiting or calling the Internal Affairs Office at 5805 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412, (361) 886-2627 and an investigator will initiate the complaint process.
 
After business hours you can call the main number for the police department at (361) 886-2600 and ask to speak with any on-duty police supervisor. A police supervisor will contact you and initiate the complaint process.
 
You also have the option of calling the Internal Affairs Complaint hotline at (361) 886-2627, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and leaving a message. Be sure to leave your name and a return number if you wish to be contacted about your complaint.

Altosestándares de Conducta y Disciplina

Todos los empleados del Departamento de policía de Corpus Christi se llevan a cabo a altos estándares de conducta y disciplina con el fin de preservar una relación esencial de confianza dentro de la comunidad. Para conservar esta relación, integridad del Departamento se mantiene a través de un sistema interno por el que se aseguran la consistencia, objetividad, imparcialidad y justicia por un examen imparcial y una investigación de las denuncias para incluir la Discriminación Racial a los empleados del Departamento de policía de Corpus Christi en la dirección y bajo la autoridad del jefe de la policía.
 
El Departamento tiene una política contra la discriminación racial y acepta quejas sobre ella empleados para ello. La discriminación racial se describe como una aplicación de la ley relacionados con la acción basada en de un individuo raza, origen étnico u origen nacional en lugar de en el comportamiento del individuo o en información que identifica al individuo como tener comprometidos en actividades delictivas.

 

Cómo presentar una queja contra un empleado CCPD:

El Departamento de policía de Corpus Christi investiga todas las reclamaciones y/o investigaciones contra sus empleados. Una denuncia de un empleado del Departamento de policía se puede hacer del lunes al viernes 8:00 a 5:00 p.m. visitando o llamando a la oficina de asuntos internos en 5805 Williams Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78412, (361) 886-2627 y un investigador iniciará el proceso de queja.
 
Después de horas de oficina puede llamar al número principal para el Departamento de policía en (361) 886-2600 y pida hablar con cualquier supervisor de policía de guardia. Un supervisor de la policía estará en contacto con usted e iniciar el proceso de queja.
 
También tienes la opción de llamar a la línea de quejas de asuntos internos en (361) 886-2627 veinticuatro horas al día, siete días a la semana y dejar un mensaje. Asegúrese de dejar su nombre y un número de devolución si desea que lo contactemos su queja.
