The mission of Community Development is to enhance the quality of life, health, and welfare of Corpus Christi citizens by assisting in the maintenance and development of affordable housing and providing safe and viable neighborhoods through the planning, implementation and administration of the City's Community Development Block Grant, HOME, Emergency Shelter Grants Program, and Continuum of Care.  Additionally, Community Development provides guidance and program oversight in the implementation of the Consolidated Plan and the Corpus Christi Strategic Plan to End Homelessness.
