| The City of Corpus Christi is committed to providing universal broadband access throughout the city to improve government services, stimulate economic development, and advance opportunities for the entire community. In order to do so, the City authorized the CC Digital Community Development Corporation to leverage its fiber optic, WiMAX, and Wi-Fi network infrastructure into a wholesale network access business that enables more competitive retail services for the community and recovers the City's investment and ongoing expense. After evaluating network partnership opportunities, Earthlink Municipal Networks, a national leader, has uniquely demonstrated concrete interest and ability to support the CCDCDC's network partnership requirements. |
