What can I put in the cart?
The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for free public disposal of garbage. Residential construction materials and tires may be disposed of free only on quarterly scheduled disposal days.

What is yard waste?
Place yard waste inside the City issued cart along with garbage. The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for free public disposal of yard waste.

HEAVY BRUSH: Curbside collection according to published schedule.
What is heavy brush?
Curbside pick-up by special appointment for a fee. The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for free public disposal of heavy brush.

RECYCLING: Every other week curbside collection.
What items does Solid Waste accept for recycling?
Place recyclables inside your City issued bin or marked container on the curb. You may also bring your recyclables to any of our drop-off locations:
The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station (open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
H-E-B parking lot at Leopard & Violet (open Friday through Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
H-E-B parking lot at Alameda & Glazebrook (open Friday through Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
The Fellowship of Oso Creek Church at 7402 Yorktown Boulevard (open Friday through Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

BULKY ITEMS: Twice a year curbside collection only on designated set out periods up to one truckload.
What are bulky items? The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for free public disposal of bulky items. Curbside collection during non-designated set out periods is available for a fee by special appointment.

The Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for free public disposal of household hazardous waste.

TIRES: Twice a year curbside collection only on designated set out periods, limit 4 tires / 20" maximum size. For a fee, the Citizens Collection Center at the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station is open to residential Solid Waste customers for public disposal of tires. Residential tires may be disposed of free only on quarterly scheduled disposal days, limit 4 tires / 20" maximum size.
