Our goal is to provide the customer with the best service possible.
There are two types of garbage collection: Automated and Manual.
Automated garbage collection utilizes a truck equipped with a mechanical arm to pick up and empty the garbage carts.
Manual garbage collection relies on two employees rolling the carts to the rear of a garbage truck and emptied with the aid of a mechanical tipping device.
Garbage cart set out procedures are the same for both Automated and Manual collection.
- Garbage is not collected on official City holidays. When your pick-up day falls on a holiday, your garbage will be picked up on the next regular scheduled day.
- The City offers twice-a-week garbage collection, along with recycling every-other-week.
- Heavy brush will be collected on designated dates in your area according to the published heavy brush schedule.
- Set-out of heavy brush, light brush, bulky items etc, for collection must not be earlier than two weeks prior to scheduled collection days. Residents in non-compliance may be cited and subject to fines.
