     Friday, 8am–5pm
     Except for on City Holidays
Nighttime Assessment:
     Monday–Sunday, 11pm–6am
     Everyday of the year to include holidays

The Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) is a division of the City of Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department.
 
PROGRAM GOAL

To help families connect with the services they need to aid their children in becoming productive citizens, avoid delinquency and to assist in the reduction of crime in this community.

PROGRAM SERVICE
The Parks & Recreation-Juvenile Assessment Center provides assessment and case management services FREE OF CHARGE to all community families and their youth who are experiencing problematic behavior in the areas of but not limited to: school attendance, academic failure, family communication, alcohol and drug use and other social issues that plague youth and families in today’s society. Parks and Recreation professional case managers provide youth/family community advocacy when needed. In addition, Parks & Recreation has partnered with community entities such as area law enforcement and some local courts to provide needs assessment and case management services to youth who have violated curfew and or other “Class C” misdemeanors.

CASE MANAGEMENT DEFINED
A range of family/youth centered services guided by a professional case manager that links them to a variety of community resources in a timely manner to address their needs so they can achieve ultimate wellness through advocacy, communication, education and service facilitation.
 
Parks & Recreation’s professional case managers ensure that participants receive the care they deserve so they can properly address their needs.
